Title: Waypoint question??

I have recently aquired a 1198 and I wanted to import all the waypoints from my 798 to a new SD card for the 1198.I have exported everything to the SD on the 798 and then via Humminbird PC transferred the waypoints to another card.
Why wont the 1198 read the waypoints on the card?

Did you get them back on the chip in .hwr format, instead of .gpx?

you don't even need the Humminbird PC step.  Just select all and export from your 798 then stick that chip in the 1198 while it is running.

Just ensure you dont have duplicate names... EX: the same name on one unit and the same name on the other unit..

tschultz way is the correct way. Just make sure the 1198 is at least the same software version or later than the 798.
