I have to use my old hand held gps to pin point a waypoint.can someone help me figure out if the unit is not working ,or if the setting are wrong.I call humming bird them self they walked me through the setting and it still doing it. I even returned the unit for a new one,but no luck it still doing the same thing.has this happen to any one else out there.if so can you help me. ps I have used gps on the water for years so I do know how the find a fishing spot.I just cant figure out this one

Don't know if your unit has it but check http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=3964.0 (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=3964.0) out and see if this helps.... :D
Actually it may be better to search the forums for 'arrival alarm' as the link actually is about setting arrival alarm distance to a specific waypoint.... not waypoints in general

with internal antenna you may not get much closer. It all depends on how many satelites you are capable of talking with and the quality of the signal. Is your site to the sky obstructed in any way.

Next time out on the water, make a Screen Snapshot of what the GPS Diagnostic View looks like whenever you have problems getting to a waypoint.

Are you talking about using the goto function of the unit? If so zoom in???...
Where is the unit mounted?
