hi Rickard
lot of action during de WWII in this area, near La Rochelle
i find a similar object a 188 m than this.
i think diving on it in few month after winter...
LSS2 give good result, i don't go in know wreek site with this system...
I join picture of small ship 7x2m find in 25 m salt water Lss2[attach=1]
and to compare 2 picture of the same oject[attach=2] made whith lss2 @455khz
and[attach=3] with Hdsi@455 khz

That's good to hear. Its' very difficult to arrange with fair comparisons between transducers, but I know the LSS-2 is better from my own experiance.
What kind of remnants/traces from WWII do you expect to find?

hi rickard
in my area there's 2 uboat, one other sunk in minefield but it's not found.
there's spearbreaker "Suerland"
lot of minefield >:(
la Rochelle was a uboat base, there's lot of wreek near this coast
there's a b17 plane, i want to make a sonar picture of it
this year whe find a chart aged year 1820, there's 3 burned war wreek who are positionned on this chart (inglish give a lesson to french navy)
whe shearch a spanish galion sunk in 1652 during another war
whe shearch a 1662 other french war ship who exploded with inglish ware ship.
lot of war lot of wreek
in my search area (in france whe must have search autorisation to prospect in sea or river), there's old minefield, in begining, mine are called "torpedoe"
they are fixed on anchor and in 1860 they are put on fire by electric cable and button.
It's the subject of my archeologycal mission in 2013
if this strange wreek is an anciant mine, for me it's bingo, a dive on it make identification of this object....
yes, sonar and search are passionant thing.
