Title: 1198si Transducer
Post by: fish2much on December 31, 2012, 08:01:41 PM
Is the temperature sensor built into the transducer? I just purchased a 1198si and it came with the GPS puck, the side/down imaging transducer, and power cable. There are four places on the back of the 1198 to connect connectors. 1 is the Power, 2 is the Temp??, 3 is the GPS, and 4 is the Transducer.

Thanks!!

Yes, there is a temperature sensor in the transducer.
I think you could also use an auxilliary temperature
sensor if you wanted to.

I don't use it myself, but some use the auxillary temp sensor to monitor the livewell temp.

The primary temp sensor is in the transducer.

Appreciate the information. I could see where the spare temp sensor could come in handy for the live well in hot weather.
