Title: 997SI GPS Help

Guys,

I bought a used 997 and the GPS is not working (says GPS not connected) bought a new GPS Antenna and says the same thing any ideas??

I would look carefully at the GPS cable contacts
at the back of your unit.
See if anything looks bent/broken/or is missing.

If that looks Ok, and your unit does not have
the newest software update, then I'd do the
update and retry.

Try testing the new GPS Receiver with another Humminbird unit to make sure that it is working correctly.  Conversely you could also test your 997 unit on someone else’s boat that has a Humminbird external GPS Receiver.
