The solution is to uninstall the current version of Google Earth that you have and install an older version in its place. Google Earth was updated a little while back and this is one of the ways that it shows up. Try grabbing one of these older versions of Goggle earth and loading it when the newer version is gone from your PC. After that just don’t go updating the Google Earth until our software guys can get around to modifying HumminbirdPC to work with this newer version.
The 4.3.7284 version is here:

The 4.2.0205 version is here:

Hi Greg
Do you have any idea when Humminbird will release a new version that works with the new version of Google Earth ?
Best regards
Martin

No I don't Martin. I haven't heard anything on dates for any HumminbirdPC software yet.

Any more info. as to when Humminbird is going to release an update to the Humminbird PC program so it can run Google Earth 5. Also, late last year, mention was made that HB was going to update their Waypoint Management program, and news on that front? I would both assume both would be released at the same time.

Hi rocket,
as far as I remember the waypoint management improvement was for the units, not for HBPC.

Google Earth does not allow to run older version of Google anymore. Google required you to upgrade to version 5 anytime you tried to load an older version of Google earth.
It is getting very frustrating not to be able to manipulate the routes and review your tracks. I find myself not using the HB SI as much as before, there is really not an easy way to review your data.

I'm not sure but the last time I connected to GE ..I was able to click the "X" (close) button at the top right of the update notice window and then was still able to use my older version of GE...
