Title: 598ci HD SI vs 798ci HD SI
Post by: Jeff Kersman on December 02, 2012, 11:47:14 AM: I am going to purchase the 598 or 798 unit with HD and SI. I fish Tampa Bay and up to 30 miles offshore. I know the 798 has more options, but I cannot get a clear definition of the advantages of the 798. Can anyone tell me the big difference between the two units? From what I gather, the only difference is the expandability in the 798.

Those are super handy, for sure. I won't say I couldn't live without 'em but i'd probably wear out the "view" button a lot sooner if I didn't have them.
