Does anyone know if they still make this mount. I have heard it is very strong and the way to go when mounting the larger units. I just purchased a 998 si and have to decide the best mount due to limited space. Thanks!

I used one this year with a 1198si. The small pin that sits in the grooves became sloppy. The 5/16" bolt stayed tight which kept it vertical. I would give it a 6.5-7 on a scale of 1-10!

It appears to me that these mounts are too rigid.
I have installed to ram mounts which allows me to articulate the screens anyway I want especially adjusting the screen for the sun.
I believe the heavy rubber balls act a little bit like a shock absorber. I have been using these mounts for my 1197 and 1198 without and problems for 6 months. I remove my units when trailering the boat to and from the lake which is easy to do.
And I would make the same purchase again.
