Title: 981 / 987 transducer
Post by: Jolly Roger on April 04, 2009, 03:58:20 PM
Hi all,
I have trouble to get my transducer installed. I'm looking for a 981 or 987 Si transducer and a y-cable. If someone has an extra and wants to sell it, let me know.
Thanks in advance.

What is going wrong?

At the moment I only have a spare tru hull for the 987.
I'll sell my 987 maybe with this transducer,so I have a transom one as spare.
Will take a few weeks before iI know

Thanks for your offer Hendrik,
my installation works fine so far, but I'm still interested to buy a second transducer and the y-cable. If I can get a second one, I'll mount this on the starbord side. Then I don't have to hassle to get the single transducer up and down.

Let me know what's going on.

Regards from Lake Constance

Harald,

I have been meaning to post some images of my dual transducer installation.  I now have two HDSI transducers, Y cable, AS-GHRA GPS reciever, with 997c SI and 785c Interlinked.  The 785c is a chartplotter and I use it for Navigation so I don't have to switch or split the Side Imaging screen on the 997c.

That's the idea I have after you mentioned the 2 transducer solution.
I use a GARMIN STREETPILOT III as the chartplotter, but I'm not so happy with it's performance for navigation on the water.
The functions of the Streetpilot are designed to use it on roads and sometimes I switch back to my GPS III+ for it's views.

This afternoon we'll go and check out the latest target. Should be a sunken boat from the images. I hope we can get some nice pictures. The weather forecast predicts temperatures around 30° Celsius and blue skies. SKYDIVE!!!  ;D
