A couple suggestions.
Next time you put your cursor on a target, try putting it "beside" instead "on" the target.
This way you will still be able to see it. If you need to return to that location, you won't be that far away.
Also keep in mind at a speed of 0.9mph those suspended fish will appear much larger than they are.
What you think are nice fish may in fact be their lunch. Speeds of 2-4mph seem to be most popular for scanning.

Newkid, thanks for the feed back, I will try those suggestions. I knew it was a bad idea when I "marked" with cursor over object. I did think those might be crappie in the column. I will adjust as you suggest and try again. Thanks.

Don't worry. You haven't done anything many on here haven't done.
It just takes time to understand all that is going on.
One of the things that has helped me is recording to a SD card and playing it back in Humviewer.

Try also different colorsettings. My favorites is grayscale, in my oppinion its the best. When you find an interesting target, scan it severall times from different angels and distance. You will find that you get a big variety in sharpness and shadows, and som pictures can be really good and some just crap. The quality of pics can also vary a lot from one day to an other dependig on the acoustic conditions in the waters around your target.
Good luck Kimi.. ,;)
