Post by: Bradaus1 on August 15, 2012, 05:56:33 AM
Hi everyone hope someone can finally steer me in the right direction, I'm chasing all the necessary gear to set up my evinrude via nmea to my humminbird 998cxsi , I've just downloaded the latest software but I'm not sure on what else I need to purchase other than the black Ethernet box, has humminbird released a backbone cable?? Please help I have had trouble getting answers down here in Australia!! Let alone some where to purchase the gear...
Thanks

No HB has not released any NMEA networking items. Lowarnce has a good selection and since these are built to NMEA2000 standards they are really interchangeable between manufactures,

And since there are standard cables for the NMEA 2000 backbone I do not think (my personal opinion) that we will sell them as they are already available from different manufacturers and retailers.
