Title: NOAA CHARTS
Post by: fubmaster on July 02, 2012, 09:52:17 AM
Hello, I have an 898si and want to know if you can use the free NOAA Charts on this unit instead of purchasing the Navionics version.  The NOAA charts seem to be more detailed. I copied the raster charts to an sd card and nothing seemed to happen when I tried to use.  Do you have to use conversion software?

I do not know of a way to get a map to display on the units unless it is from a mapping card.

There are ways to get other data on the units but it takes a computer major to do it.
Maybe some of the smart guys here who have done this can help..
