Title: 858c
Post by: Tooofunky86 on June 18, 2012, 09:03:19 AM
Does anyone know if I can hook up a down imaging transducer to my 858c or do I have to buy the 858di unit?

I can't say absolutely, but I think the down-imaging transducer would
not be compatible with the 858c.
There could be hardware/software differences between the 858c and 858c DI.

Greg would know for sure.

ITG is correct.  There are hardware and software differences between these units.  It is not simply a matter of plugging in a Down Imaging transducer to a 2D sonar only unit like the 858c (the same goes with Side Imaging transducers too).  The unit had to have been designed to work with the transducer for it to work.

It’s the sonar next to 2D sonar on my keyboard…
I went back and fixed my post.
