hi, does any body know if the nmea2000 engine data will be available anytime soon, this link says june?

“soon” is such a relative term…
I have not heard of any new “official” date for the NMEA2K accessory.

I don’t know Chuck as we ship to the JOI warehouse up in Minnesota.  We have no way of knowing which retailers they get shipped to from there nor would we recommend one retailer over another.

I should have added that we ship to that central warehouse in Minnesota and then they get bundled with all the other JOI products going to a specific retailer.  So we (Humminbird in Eufaula) do not who they are being shipped to.  We fill an order to ship to the warehouse and that is the end of what we can see.  I’m sure that there are at least a few folks here in Eufaula that can get to that information but no one that I deal with.

I know that these have been shipping because we have been producing, packing and wheeling them into the warehouse.  Plus the CRC folks finally got the one they ordered as well.

i think they sell them at Amazon now I'm about to buy one to link my i command on my etec to the nmea 2000 on my 1198 CSI.    will this work?  the etec i command works on nmea2000 so my thought was to show that engine data on the 1198. 

will this work?  or are we talking something else?

As far as I know: any engine with a NMEA 2000 data output will work with the AS-ETH-NMEA2K accessory to display the engine data on your Ethernet capable Humminbird unit.  Make sure the software on your unit has been updated.
