What format does Humminbird use for there maps? :)
-
Not sure what you mean by “format”?
We use Navionics and now (with a software update) LakeMaster mapping cards. Be sure to get the Humminbird-LakeMaster cards.
-
What I mean is there anyway to build your on maps for it?
-
blazepro,
You would have to find a way to hack the Navionics format and that would be pretty difficult in my opinion. Maybe in the future, Humminbird will come up with a way to upload your own maps, but for now, its pretty much a mute point.
It has been on the wish list for some time now.

No not hack, I just wanted to find out what file names does Humminbird use too run maps?
-
You can do your own maps as far as I know.
You should have an *.usr file to work with.
-
I don’t know how we actually do it Blazerpro202 so I don’t know what file names, extensions or format that we actually use. All I do know is that we only recognize the maps off of the Navionics and now LakeMaster-Humminbird mapping cards.

I believe the .usr are data files and contain info like wp and gps. chuck
