Title: can't find gps on my unit
Post by: shawnj on June 02, 2012, 09:16:25 PM: just purchased a 798 ci si hd combo unable to find anything to do with a gps on it anywhere. anyone else have this when they got one ? ive been through every menu option. in simulator mode i see it. also, i had two transducer mounts in my box. why?? thanks

Post by: sonar2000 on June 03, 2012, 01:04:20 PM: This is an internal antenna. Make sure you are in a clear area for reception. Check the diagnostic screen and see if any satelites are being shown.

Post by: shawnj on June 03, 2012, 01:53:03 PM: i have tried it on the water i have no menu item or view item associated with a gps threseems to be something missing on mine i looked info up on the internet and there is more views than i have on mine i even selected the "advance" user mode but still nothing .

do you not have a GPS diagnostic screen?
This could be an indication that your receiver is not being detected by the unit. This will need repair.

Post by: ITGEEK on June 04, 2012, 07:44:19 AM: Under your NAV menu, do you see a GPS Receiver Override option?

If you don't have it, maybe upgrade to the newest software.
