Title: Are people still having problems with 6.180?
Post by: Rough House on May 15, 2012, 03:18:24 PM: Trying to decide if i should download 6.180 from 5.7 on my 1198. Are people still having issues with the 6.180?

I think if there is a problem with a particular update, then it will stay a problem until
Humminbird fixes it, and puts the fixes out in a newer update.

I don't think that Humminbird will fix problems in an update and put it back out
with the same version number on it.

I may be wrong, but I don't think so.

I have 6.18 installed on a 998. I'm going back to 5.700 when I can get a copy.

What you are seeing may be the new Auto Zoom Range feature. Try going to the Chart menu tab and setting the “Auto Zoom” menu to the “Off” setting.
