Post by: peahbeez on May 09, 2012, 06:12:24 PM
Just finished installing my new 898 si unit. Looked around in the simulator mode so all the settings are stock. Plan to take it out this weekend. Welcoming any recommendations, setting changes ,tips for a first time users first trip out. thanks again

I would recommend the first time you take your unit out,
leave the fishing rods at home.

Try to go through all your views on the water, play with the sensitivity,
and the SI distance, and make some recordings.

When you get home, if you don't already have it, install
Humviewer (it's free) on your PC and view your recordings.

Good Luck.
