Title: Transferring Gold package from 1197 to 1198 unit

I had a 1197 unit with the gold map package that Humminbird downloaded as an option. I now have a 1198 unit, and they do not have that package anymore.
You have to buy the Navionics chips which I did, but the detail is not as good. Is there anyway to download the old mapping package from the 1197
to the new 1198 model.

I would think that any Navionics chip card that is the same date or
newer than an old card would have the same, if not better detail.

You might want to check your settings on the 1198.
Under your chart menu:
Set your Chart Detail level to 'All',
and set your Spot Soundings  to 'Visible'.
