One common used viewer is humviewer. there are several others but lets start with humview. It does not take any conversion programs..

You install on your computer and then put your recording (sd card) in your reader. It goes better if you copy the recording to a file on your computer...

I will be  right back with a couple of other hints..

OK. you can go here to get humviewer.  the latest is 67 I think..

It is free.
Once you have it down loaded let us know and we can talk you thru the usage..It is real simple..

Humviewer as basic has nothing to do with google earth so not sure of the message. It runs on its own.

Refresh:
1) open humviewer
2) program loads and has screen without sonar data.
3) upper left top click on open file
4) select the sd card drive and open the file called record
5) select the r000xxx.dat file name.

What is happening different on yours.

This will not make much difference, but for a faster load of the recorded data if you copy the sd card to a computer file it will load the data quicker.

If I confused you just say so and I will explain again..
