Title: DSC Radio Connection
Post by: autoculto on April 06, 2012, 03:11:58 AM
NMEA pigtail out are black, white and green but everywhere i look they are black, white and red. Does anyone know which wires i need to connect to the radio?

In the manual it says the red wire is 12v but i have no voltage from any of the 3 wires. Does it need to be turned on somewhere in the menus option?

Thanks

You have a GPS Receiver with the newer wiring harness.  It has no Red (+12V) wire.  Nothing else has changed though so you still need to connect the same White and Black wires for NMEA Out and Ground.

The NMEA Output menu still needs to be set to "On" as well.

Look under the Setup menu tab in your unit.  Your unit will have to running in the Advanced setting for the User Mode menu to see it though.

Under the setup menu look for USER MODE and make sure you have this set to ADVANCED.
then a little farther down you will see NMEA. turn this to onb.
When you have highlited the specific tab use the left or right cursor key to make your selection
