I've lived here over thirty years and have never seen this. The Ice went out on the first day of spring here in West central Minnesota, on the medium to smaller lakes. Like Wow Huh what? Global warming,, who knows but this is gonna be a different pattern on the opener that's for sure. More like a June pattern. Average Ice off here is normally about mid April:/
