Title: 898c SI new updated software
Post by: Irishrover on March 20, 2012, 01:04:12 AM
I think the new waypoint icons that Humminbird came out with are great. But is there any place that explains what each icon actually is suppose to represent? On some of them it's hard to tell. Thanks.

Not that I know of.
They are not listed in the Waypoint Management Guide and that is where I would expect them to be listed, if they were in fact listed anywhere.

Most device waypoints (brand name) are descriptive by the icon.
I dont recall any mfg listing a waypoint description.

I have in the past put a boat ramp icon for a marina gas station..among others ::)

Let us know if you find anything else.
