Trying to figure out what this cloud is suppose to be?
Thanks,

Hi,
I think they are traces from wakes. The microscopic air bubbles in the wakes can remain for several minutes. It looks as if you have crossed the track of another vessel (or maybe your own track).

Got the same thing in an SI sonar image?
If you do you will probably see the track of the other boat when you passed over it.
Anyone have a good boat wake image that they can post? One crossing perpendicular to a wake would be a good one to demonstrate this (I am land bound…).

Have not taken pictures but this is a good example of aerated water. Especially a boat wake. Sonar just does not like air and really lets you know about it in the display.....
You will see a lot of this either your own if turning or if passing by another boat. And the aerations stays around for a bit also..it does not go away immediately unless there is a good current..
