Title: 788c & weathersence
Post by: simoncauchi on March 04, 2012, 05:19:04 AM
Hi Guys,

I just joined yesterday here and been looking and searching the forums for some info. The website looks great and seems a nice community here.

Anyhow, last summer i purchased a new Quicksilver Activ 470 boat 16.4ft and also purchased the humminbird 788c. I will start using the boat in May this year. I purchased the weathersence from amazon and still yet have to receive it. However been looking how it can be hooked to the console. I see that the weathersence has two wires coming out from both sides. Does this mean that one of those has to go in the 788c port or i would have to use the AS YC cable that came in the box with the humminbird 788c?

Many Thanks

Simon

Simon

I have Weathersense and it is easy to hook up just follow the instructions that comes with it.  one wire is in and one is out.  I tried the XM Weather system which hooked up to the weathersense which is what the second wire is for. After a few months I discontinued XM weather because it was more of a nuisance then any help.

Below is the address for installation instructions
