Am I confused or is the only way to enter a manual position is to use the HBPC and the sd card.
On Garmin and Lowrance there is a menu to enter a gps position by the coordinates..
Did I miss that some where in the HB menus..

Chuck there is a way to enter coordinates because I have done it.If I was home I could look but I'm at work. Its under the navigation menu I think...

I had looked at that and it seems to say that once a waypoint has been created (for however that happens) you can edit the position..(lon/lat..)
I will go try it again..
Thanks...

On the unit (1197) the nav x-press menu only has three selections.
cursor to waypoint
save current track
clear current track
The unit is at 5.5 software.
The book that explains this is from the initial purchase and was at 4.?
I guess I dont have an express menu compatable with the book.. :(
This was and still is so simple on Lowrance..

OK.....I am back in business....
It is a matter of reading the manual and understanding the print.
I was going to the wrong screen.
In a nutshell you guys are right.
Menu....Nav tab,....waypoints...cursor right and create...
Whew..... :P
It was a lot simpler on the lowrance...
And certainly seems easier on HBPC.....
HB is like Garmin. a lot of thinking needed to make things happen...
But we are making waypoints now...
Thanks guys for all the help....

OK here is what I learned.
If you want to put in a couple of waypoints do it from the unit.
If you want to put in more than two. Use HBPC. It is easier that way...
