Title: Successful 798ci Si Hd install
Post by: Crappiehound on February 05, 2012, 06:54:25 PM
Took the boat out this afternoon to see if I was going to have any trouble with my unit and everything went very well. I have to say the images are as good as the box in Si and Di. Started off with okay pic but after going through my settings I found my chart speed was set to 10. Adjusted to 3 and everything popped. I have at times some noteworthy interference to the right from dirty water from prop. My transducer is mounted on the left so that makes sense. Left side is perfect. After playing with speed and adjusting motor angle I could eliminate all or most interference. After just a couple of hours tinkering I can say it appears it performs as advertised. Thanks to some help from a friend on the install and all the info from the site the learning curve hasnt been bad. Didn't have a sd card in it yet but when I get one I will post some pics.

Thanks to this forum and all involved I had somewhere to do the homework. Now it's time to mark that first spot with Si and catch a fish off of it.   ;D
