Title: 997c si temp problems
Post by: rick555 on January 28, 2012, 10:41:17 AM
my 997c si temp reads like 123.5 and increases to about 128 degrees as the day warms up. the real temp is in the 40's. I just bought a new transducer with built in temp sensor. this is my second transducer and both are doing the same thing. Any help would be appreciated. Rick

check to see if the offset temp setting hasn't been messed with.

If the Temp Offset is set to zero than it must be something in the unit.  Call the Humminbird Customer Resource folks to get this fixed. 1-800-633-1468

It sounds like a unit problem,. I would call the customer support as suggested.  The temperature offset is -10 degrees to +10 degrees so since you are seeing almost a 100 degree deifference then it probably is bad..
