Title: Second ducer for the 798SI
Post by: Dragline on January 22, 2012, 01:58:12 AM
This may be a simple request but I have had no luck researching it on the web. I have the 798SI with the transom ducer but I want to have a second in hull ducer for sonar reading while at speed when the transom ducer will not work.
I have heard of this being done, if so how is it done and what are the components required and the wiring configuration??
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

If you have a fiberglass boat:
XP-9-20 inside-the-hull DualBeam transducer
AS-Si-DB-Y transducer splitter cable
Plug the standard CSi transducer into the plug on the AS-Si-DB-Y cable labeled “Side Imaging”.  Plug the XP-9-20 into the plug labeled “DualBeam” and the third connector goes into the unit mounting base in place of the transducer.  Launch boat, power unit on and go!
