My daughter bougth her husband the 587 HD DI.

However, I cannot find this unit on the Humminbird website.  The box stated DI loaded.  Was curious if this was a true DI or is a store, Academy, special.

Anyone know of this model?

Hi Mike
The 587HD DI was a special model for Black Friday Sales it's the same as the 597ci HD DI except the screen is different pixel resolution.

Enfuzed is right; it was made as a Black Friday special unit, though if it was well accepted I would hope that they would offer them as one of our regular units.  Maybe next year.
