Does anyone know if the larger 1100 si model was produced in the non HD version before the frequency was upped? I am looking for one with the old low freq Si , i think it its 262Khz? or 255Khz, it was better for the deep water, I use my 900 version up to 70 meters water depth with this freq. ,
regards Donald.

Hi,
The 1197 and 1198 can use the 262/455 kHz SI transducer, just select `Sidescan´ in the Transducer Select menu.

Rickard is correct.....but you must have the correct transducer connected to the unit, one that corresponds to your selection...
Page 138 in the 1197 manual..

Yes guys, I am using twin through hull transducers with the Y cable at present, was just looking for a larger screen, could I suppose output to a video screen. I also have a bronze 50/200 transducer, so would prob put that one on the 931, and use the si on the larger uint. Are they still available new, or just secondhand, as all i can see advertised now are the 455/ 800 versions?

Are you looking for the transom or the plastic Thru-Hull version of this transducer?
These are an older transducer so you may have to contact a Humminbird retailer directly to get one of them.

Hi Greg, I am useing the through hull plastic transducers x2 for the sidescan, 262khz/455khz, I also have a 1kw bronze through hull for the deeper water, we work up to 130 fathom in this guise. I am getting good results from the unit, but would like two screens, I would like to leave my original 931c on the 2d deep water transducer, and find a 1100 series on the old frequency to work with my existing transducers in Si mode. All the ones I can see advertised now are the 455khz/800khz si models, but we got better depth penetration with the lower 262khz freq. being able to find and follow hard ground in water up to 35 fathoms. I understand it is a superseeded model, but cant imagine there are not ones still available? regards Donald.

the 1197 should work on the........ xnt 9 si 180 t .......which is a 433 and not an 800.

Donald,
Re-read Rickard and Chuck’s posts above. The 1157c Si and 1198c Si units can use the older 262/455kHz Si transducers by simply changing the Transducer Select menu setting to the Sidescan setting.
There was never an 1100 series unit that was made to be shipped with the 262/455kHz Si transducer. All of the 1100 series Si units so far have been made to be shipped with the 455/800kHz Si transducer (but can use the older 262/455kHz Si transducer with a menu change).
