I have two 1197si (one on bow using minnkota us2 transducer, one on dash using side and dual beam transducers)
I have two interlinks stacked on top of each other.
Why would I need two of them and how do I use them both at the same time if that is possible?
Thanks

EricCO,
I don’t know why you would have two stacked like that. Are you sure one is not a CannonLink as they both use the same housing and will look alike.
I do not know of any way to use two InterLink modules at the same time.

As it relates to Gregs question...Can you post a picture or two so we can see exactly what you have...

He may have to look at the top side of each one as the only outward appearance difference is the decal that is used on top of the housing. One says InterLink and the other CannonLink.

wonder why they look the same... maybe to save money on housings.
Maybe it should be painted a different color...
These pictures maybe only worth a dollar.. ;D

They used the same housing (size, shape and color) to save money as you suspected Chuck. The only difference on the outside is the decal on top. The insides use different PCBs of course.

I seperated them and it is in fact an interlink. Sorry, no pictures.

No pictures needed EricCO. If the decal identifies them as InterLinks then that is what they are.
Guessing here that you were not the one to install them, so I wonder what the original installer had in mind?

I spoke to the previous owner and he said I already knew way more than he did about this system. He said he struggled some days just to get the sonar to work. LOL
I'm guessing the boat dealer installed it and sometimes they don't really do things right either. :)
