I created a new post that answers your question here: http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=2896.msg16497#msg16497 (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=2896.msg16497#msg16497)

Yesterday i tested the ethernetfunction together with DrDepth.
Absolutely magnificent !!
I think this live-sidescan-mosaik funtion is a „revolution“ for wreckhunters. Now it is possible to effectively scan the search area without white spots.

Thanks Rudiger, are there any other tips you can give us to help get ethernet connection working to Dr. Depth. I followed the Dr. Depth instructions - spliced a RJ45 connector onto humminbird ethernet cable AS EC 10E. Checked it for continuity with an ohm meter to make sure cable was ok. Changed the settings in Dr. Depth to look for HB ethernet. Windows firewall turned off. Dr Depth either gives me an error message (says something like not able to establish Humminbird ethernet connection) or else just sits there waiting for gps position which never comes. Did you check "no NMEA" in Dr. Depth NMEA/COM settings? Did you have the HB NMEA output turned off (I tried it both ways)? Did you have to change any LAN setting on your laptop? Any information will probably help the rest of us.

Hey Mark
In the networksettings turn the local network on,in the firewallsetting you must allow DrDepth the networkconnection, then follow the DrDept helpinstruction in all points and it must work.
I use -no NMEA-
good luck
