I tried to upload the latest update for my 1197. Everything went fine, finding the software, loading and so on. When I looked at the screen again after a few minutes, while I did something else, it was as if it was starting up again. .... loading, loading and then nothing else. I cannot turn the unit off, nothing works and it gives a "clunk" noise in the speaker every few seconds. I have to pull the plug and when I power it up again, the same thing happens!!!
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I would try reformatting the SD card and than load an older version of software onto it, than install it into the unit and power it on. If that doesn’t work than try searching for the “boot mode” or “bootstrap mode” on this web site and try that.
