Title: available displays on 798CX SI (previous model)
Post by: nicknight on June 19, 2011, 08:46:14 PM: I downloaded the latest firmware and go the DownImaging.
Something I have not been able to do is view the speed information in a view other than one containing a chart of the olde but goodie sonar 2d view (by itself).
So if I want to see the SI page (no chart) AND my speed: What do I do?

I have managed to get it on the SI only view (I think...my boat is sitting in the driveway) but I still cannot get it on the DI/SI view

The 798 is limited to what digital data can be shown on the different Views that it has. The only View that you can set these on is the full Sonar View.

thanks Greg.....nothing worse than fishing for something that you are 95% sure is not there, is there :)

I will check out the other thread for this next question but just in case it is not there: ***is there a technical reason that this is done (like performance)??? Being a computer guy I would figure that anything can be put just about anywhere.***

BTW: love the unit....got it when they were clearing them out (I could not afford otherwise). The on finder mapping It is so much better than my GPS handheld + sonar I was using before. I have only used the SI to find a weed line so far but that was good enough for me.
