Folks, the last two days, I have been out on a local lake near my home that will more than likely product the new Tennessee State Record.  There has already been a 13.8 pounder caught which is the lake record.  I have the new Humminbird 1198 and WOW what that thing can do.  I ran over a spot in this lake today ( Tuesday )...saw the big bass on my screen, cut my motor off, put the trolling motor down and went to work.  In eight cast I caught a 7.8 , 6.6 and 5.2 pounders.  I had 5 bass that weighed 28 pounds and many more as well as on Monday also.  I lost a fish Monday that would have tipped the scales over 10 pounds...saw the fish up close, 6 inches from liping the fish when she decided "not today"  Just thought I would share .....

The whole package.....mainly the Side Image part.  I was just scanning around on this small 560 acre lake until I found these big bass.  Lots of fun.

I agree, although I fish saltwater, the SI definately helps me find structure for grouper and bait balls. The bait part is the best for me, a full well quickly, more time for catchin!!! I now see why some of my GPS numbers produce fish, I can see the structure and ledges clearly and where the fish are holding.
