Title: Test run with new unit, no down image

So here is a short clip i got on my test run out for the first time. I though I was recording for about 5min but the vid is really short.
1: how does my settings look for the side imaging?
2: I was able to see the down imaging but does not show in Viewer
3: any recommendations?

Look at the recorded scan and check the file associated with the .dat name.  open that file and see if the b000 thru b003 all have the same size .SON file size...
Also try in humviewer just the left top selection and see if any thing shows on the screen..
But do check that .son files sizes...

all 3 files are 3kb..... and nothing when only use top

you should have 4 files. b000, b001, b002 and b003.............
stand-by a sec...
The b000 and b001 should be in general about 1/2 the size of the b002 and b003.

Corey, when in humviewer point your cursor to the left screen and right click on it.  Click the view selection...
Select the 2d down or the down imaging (455)
then go back to the play button..

Ok so i have no b000 file may be the cause.

And Yes I do understand how to select the views i want but the files are not there.

I think the b000 is the 83 hertz.  might check on your unit to see if you have selected that freq..
I will take a file and delete the b000 and see what humview does...

OK deleted the b000 and humview runs with a 200 khz 2down or a 455 down image in the left screen. I dont see a selection on the view tab for 83khz.....
Have you tried a record that contains a b000?
Also do you have any other recordings. 
I am lost right now on this one...... :P

yea i can see the sample one just fine thats why im confused.  Im sure its something my unit is not recording for some reason but then again i could look at the recording on my unit and can view the down image...??.....

This was my first recording, i will be takin the boat out this weekend and will play with it

OK.  make several runs and then see if any have the b000......
Not sure here yet...lets see what happens on the next run....
check you sonar menu tab for beam select.  See if you have set the 200/83 beam.
Dont know if this has any bearing on the problem but it might be worth a check....
We are running the 1197 .....
Roddy, which units do you have..., Gary or George???????
