do you want to know what a fish looks like on side image ?
Well, I can't tell you if it was a bass or walleye but a gamefish looks like a small ovel shape white gost. I mean do you know what a white rice looks like ? well that is what you will see on the side image screen and it will be to the left or right side of screen because the fish will move to the sides of the boat as you pass them. That is if you have a gas motor on. If trolling motor is on then they can be any place on screen.
hope this helps.
Jim

Not bass but some striped mullet hanging by a submerged tree.

I usually run the si about 60 ft to both sides.

I didn't mean the side image. I mean the down image part. The sonar that looks down and its part of the down image.
There is a setting for narrow/wide/ ?
