Model:	ALL SI Models
Suggested Upgrade:	Add radar and engine info
Explanation:	Would like to see an addition so we can add a dome or array radar to these units as well as being able to see engine data on the screen re: fuel rate-rpm-trim etc. May be a long time coming but to compete with the other companies that offer that would be awesome for us and HB. To me radar should be that hard to add, some of us dont want to pay up too $29 a month for XM weather

This was announced as a new feature to some of the Humminbird units and would require the use of the new Ethernet hub (AS-ETH-5PS) and possibly the new NMEA 2000 adapter/converter (AS-ETH-NMEA2K).

Greg, I saw the reference to the weather link but could not find the radar piece.  Who makes the radar puck.  How is this piece gotten?

I don’t know that we are actually shipping the radar yet but would expect that it would be carried by those retailers who deal; more in salt water or the Great Lakes region.  The radar was announced at the ICAST show earlier in the year: MVI 9964 Resized 2 Sm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhHfU-QpdEM#ws)
Someone posted some information about the radar but I don’t remember where it was.

OK< was just curious as I could not find any reference on the HB web site....
I have not found any dealers with the puck for sonar for the HB systems.. we are waiting on the real product to get to you all.
So the announcement was just a marketing announcent then..
These work great for navigational waterways. Lets hope it is soon..

I would like to see the NMEA engine data added to the screen in a semi customizable format so I can view my engine data and also to give real world fuel consuption versus calculated data. This would again push HBabove and beyond everyone.

Not sure how customizable it will be but this is one of the features that will be added along with the AS-ETH-NMEA2K NMEA 2000 accessory.  I don’t know if this will be in the form of an additional software release or if this is being added with the next release for the 800/900/1100 series units.

This would be a great feature to be added. the unit I have this feature on is very good and certainly a great help. This will also mean less guages to have on the console to watch.
One of these day we might even see a 15 inch screen for console function in the bigger boats...
