While I was getting the boat ready for this season, plugged my 798ci in and went though and did some set-up. I am running S/W 5.2. On the main sonar screen (2D) I set-up the configurable displays. I have a paddlewheel/temp sensor. You have to spin the paddle wheel to get it to register, which is normal, but couldn't find the aux temp in the menu selection. Did this get eliminated because the new units have an ethernet connector at that plug location?
Also noticed a quirk in stepping through all the screens. Once I am at the gps diagnostic screen, the next few screens are significantly slow to update. ie press button wait one second before it updates. The rest of the screens seem fine, and it is repeatable.

I tried the configuration again when I was on the water on Saturday. Still no Aux temp selection. If anyone has the speed/temp sensor and has 5.2 or higher S/W loaded, would appreciate a check. I don't really want to test by going back to an older S/W version. Given the temp on the transducer, the Aux temp was redundant.
PS: I do like the new contour mode on SI. No wasted critical screen space on the 798 for the "black canal".
