I've searched on this site, as well as on the Humminbird site, and in the pdf user's manual, but I'm having trouble finding an answer as to how I can delete all the waypoints on my 788ci. I can delete them one-at-a-time, but I'd like to start with a blank slate. A factory reset would also be fine, I don't mind tweaking the settings again.
I currently have firmware version 4.780 if that has any bearing on the issue.
Thanks,
Tom.

Turns out, the depthfinder has to be set to "advanced user mode" in the Settings menu before you have an option to delete nav data in the Navigation menu. I saw the suggestion to "delete navigation data" in a thread for an 8XX series depthfinder, but didn't think that was an option on my 788 series since I didn't see it in the Navigation menu.
When I got my 788ci, the first thing I did was set the user mode to advanced. But, I had restored the factory defaults in anticipation of a firmware update, which returned the user mode to "normal" and it never occurred to me that my fishfinder might not be in "advanced." You know what they about assumptions...
So, I guess the big tip is check your user mode, then you can delete navigation data.

Both of my units default to advanced user mode

Any of the 800, 900 or 1100 series units does default to the Advanced User Mode stillbear. The 700 and other smaller units default to the Normal User Mode (Advanced is Off).
Check your account on Humminbird there TooTallTom as there should be newer software for your 788c unit. Just be sure to reset the menus before and after you update the software… than go back and set the User Mode to Advanced again! ;D

That's actually how I got confuzzled about the user mode. I was planning to update and had reset my unit to default, decided to hold off for a bit and mess around with the waypoints instead, and couldn't figure out how to delete all the waypoints at once.
I did actually remember to back up the waypoints, though. ;D
