Hi,
I have a 997c SI and have put much effort trying to set it up in ordr to get clear fish returns with the classic sonar view. The depth I am focussing is 250-320ft. However I never get to get the result of my friend's Lowrance HDS as far as fish returns are concearned, as he cant get such detail of the bottom as I seem to get.
Therefore I bought an HDS 5 in order to have both the sonars at the same time. Will this work or will the transducers get double returns?
Thanks in advance,

Are you asking about the DI or the SI. The SI detail as seen from the surface is not all that good at deep depths, which is why some of the guys are making towfish.
For the 83 or 200 freq you may get interference. not too sure of the 455 or 800 from lowrance...
You can always deactivate one of the units frequencies if you get interference.
