Title: Humminbird 2011 modells and SI-frequensy

Just have to check this up!  ::)

Salesmen in Finland are selling 2011 modell Humminbird SI combos whit si-frequency 260kHz, 455kHz???

have I missed something?   :o

Sounds like they are selling you the older Si transdcuer instead of the newer HDSI transducer.  This is the first ransducer that came out with the original 987 units.  The 800 series units and upcan handle the old transducer frequencies, but definitely not as good as the HDSI.

Wonder if they are just using the wrong information in their advertisement?  There has been a whole lot of that going around this year.

HMMMM, marketing will say anything.  they dont have to talk with users befound the sale.  This is tru for almost any product by any mfg today.
The old saying of let the buyer beware means more today than when the phrase was first used.
One of the nice things about this forum is that folks can ask questions before buying and get good reliable answers.
