I'm going to buy the 788ci HD DI unit.
Plus I am going to buy a transducer saver by www.transducershieldandsaver.com (http://www.transducershieldandsaver.com)
The company says that model ssc-3 will fit the XNT-9-20 transducer.
What I like to know what dos the new 788ci HD DI transducer look like ?
Is it the same as the XNT-9-SI 180T transducer ?
Huminbird says the 788ci hd di uses the XNT-9 Di T
I like to know what transducer comes close or the same size as the XNT-9-DI T transducer.
Thank you very much.

The Humminbird web site does not show a picture of the DI transducer.
Transducer Shield and Saver gets sample transducers to make brackets fit all the transducer styles. Evidently they don't have a sample yet to advise you. The same goes for the Lowrance DSI transducer that is new too.
If you have a thin fiberglass hull like a bassboat, you can use the new DI transducer as a shoot thru and won't need the bracket unless you are going to put it on the trolling motor.

Actually there is a new DI transducer that is designed specifically for inside-the-hull installation: XIH-9-DI-T. Not sure what it looks like as I have not seen one as yet. My guess is that it is the same as the XNT-9-DI-T except that it has an external temperature sensor, but I could be wrong.
The new XNT-9-DI-T will need a different bracket as it is shaped quite a bit differently than the other XNT style transducers (see drawing). If you are going to mount it on a trolling motor you will have to use the AD-XTM9 Trolling Motor Adapter bracket for now until Scap at Transducer Shield & Saver makes one.
