Greg,
First, thanks as always for your attention and insight. It means a bunch to many of us!
As for the new 998, with there ABSOLUTELY be an offering of an NVB nav bundle with the 998? Need to know, because if not, I need to get a 997 NVB while they last.
Please let me know and THANKS
;D

If you do a Google search for Humminbird 998c SI NVB, you will see lots of sources for that model now and has been all year.

I appreciate the compliments there Elvis. I just try and help out when and wherever I can.
To you question: there is no “new” 998c Si units for this model year (2011). However, although there were NVB versions of the 998c Si units built in the 2010 model year; there will be no NVB models of any unit built this model year. So if you want an NVB version 998 unit you had best find someone that still has one on the shelf or in their warehouse.
In a way I am saddened by the decision not to build NVB version units as this was a good feature that some wanted. However, the inability to provide an up-to-date NVB package or even an upgrade for existing units looks like it has brought this feature to an end in our products.
