Title: Waypionts from PC to 898SI
Post by: squeezethesnake on September 04, 2010, 11:29:20 AM
I have been working on adding new waypoints on my PC with Humminbird PC Program and when I insert the card with all my new points the 898 it displays loading but the only points i Have are the ones that were already there. I have 71 waypoints on my card ( the ones I uploaded from the unit and then added more) but I see I only have 47 the same number I had before adding the new ones. I looked on the manual and seems I am doing right but I know I am missing something. any advise

thanks eric

Did you select the correct folder in HB PC to load to your SD card?

I dragged and dropped from PC waypoints Folder to Card waypoints folder and checked both and both had all the points

The waypoints have to be converted to the DATA.HWR file format before the 898 will recognize and load them.  To do this you have to use the upload feature in HumminbirdPC the get the waypoints from HumminbirdPC to the SD card.
