Title: 858 bow transducer select?
Post by: bass1958 on August 23, 2010, 10:03:48 PM
I have an 858 mounted at bow.  the transducer is in the hull.  One option is transducer select where the choices are 200/50, 200, 50, dual, etc.  Several different choices. Which one of these should I choose?  How do I know what type of transducer I have?  It was installed by boat dealer.  It's not a side image or down image.

Bass1958,
We normally ship out the XNT-9-20-T DualBeam transom mount transducer with the 858c units, so you may want to ask the dealer what was installed.  Better yet would be to look at the first few feet of cable from the connector end and see if there are any numbers and letters on it that you can read and post back here.  My guess is that it is an XP-9-20-T DualBeam transducer and if so you should select the “Dual Beam” setting in the Transducer Select menu.
