Title: Screen change after update

I just updated my 997 with the latest firmware. Now, the white box on the left of the screen that show's depth, temp, etc. is somewhat transparent on some views. Is this a normal default? I reset the unit before I updated it.

Chris,

That is normal.  It was a new feature added for some views.
