Title: What is the purpose of recording ON MY 898 and Transfer to S D card

Hey guys, im just wondering what the purpose of recording and taking snap shots is? And is hummviewer a program that goes on the computer?

Recordings and snapshots gives you the ability to review things at a later time when you have more time to actually study the images...

Humviewer is a computer program written by Martin from Denmark that allows you to view the recordings (not the HB snapshots) on your home computer for studying the images.... it has several tools to use in the program for measuring, creating snapshots from the recording, marking waypoints on interesting items, transferring to google earth, etc...

Snapshots can be viewed by Windows Picture viewer and can be studied or uploaded to websites like this one to share and interpret...

I find recording invaluable. Our lake is very busy with a lot of traffic and  at this time of year, I really need to be concentrating on that rather than the Humminbird. The other advantage to reording is that you when you replay, you can adjust the settngs to make sure that nothing has been missed, or focus on something of interest.
