Batch,

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have any snapshots of the SI or DI screen or any recordings you can playback and make soem snapshots to show us.  This would be a good start.

Brush piles can be tough.  The brush absorbs the water and the sonar passes right thru making it very hard to see sometimes.  The bottom hardness if strong can hide them also and you will need to look for the shadows of the brush vs the hard return of the brush itself.  Slower boat speed and chart speed will help.

Here is a good post also to read up as well that talks about basic settings.

Let me know if that helps.

You will need an SD card in the HB slot to get your snapshots or recordings.

thanks for the info on the card I'll have one this weekend and going out this evening to work with the setting some, I know where some brush is and I'll set over them and play with the unit. Thanks for all of your help. Good luck fishing

We had a tree cutting project two seasons ago where we bundled fresh cut trees together and sunk them in 30 feet of water. They showed up great for a while but now can't see them on SI or DI. 2D shows good.

Some of these trees were large.
